School Site Council

Segerstrom’s School Site Council is a group of elected teachers, parents, classified employees, and students that works with the principal to develop, review, and evaluate school improvement programs based on data and needs assessment. Segerstrom's School Site Council oversees the implementation of various programs in the school, including state and federally funded programs. The council focuses on the academic achievement of students in six goal areas: School Culture, English Language Arts, English Language Learners, Math, Other Content Areas, and Parent/Community. School Site Councils are specifically charged with finding ways to close gaps in academic achievement between groups of students.
 
Meetings are held monthly from August through May. All Segerstrom parents, students, and staff are welcome to attend. Parents must enter through the main office and get a Raptor visitor badge. Meetings are typically held in Room A164; the meeting agenda always lists the location.
