Attendance

Please report your student absence within 24hrs. You may report your absence/tardy by the following.

Report an Absence by Phone

Call 714-241-5050. Please have the following information ready:

  1. Name of Parent/Legal Guardian
  2. Student's name
  3. I.D number
  4. Date of birth
  5. Reason for absence

Report an Absence Digitally

To report an absence online, please use the Absence Submission Form

To submit a doctor's note, please email Tiffany.margo@sausd.us

ParentSquare notifications go out every time your student is absent and/or tardy.
You may respond to that notification to clear your students' attendance.


NOTE: Without a cleared absence/tardy, teachers are not required to accept any late work, homework, missing assignments, or allow a student to make-up any work, quizzes, or tests. 

Medical/Dental Appointments

Always try to make appointments before or after school. Please have a note from your medical providers office upon your return to school and provide the note to the attendance office.

Early Student Release

All students including athletes must be signed out from the front office when leaving school early.  We ask that no students are picked up after 2:15pm unless you make prior arrangements with the attendance or front office. We ask that you always try to make appointments before or after school when possible.

NOTE: Should you have to pick up a student during 6th period that is in sports, let your athlete know to come up to the front office when you arrive or have them come to the front office before 6th period. 

School Routines to Follow

Give yourself plenty of time for traveling to school due to unforeseen circumstances  such as traffic, car troubles, accidents, or missing other transportation options.
Make sure that you are signed out of the front office before you leave campus for any reason during school hours.
If you are feeling sick, please go to the nurse before calling a parent/legal guardian to come pick you up.
